  35. I agree 100%!! The very slight improvement you may perceive going direct to
  36. tape is offset by the aggravation of tape dropouts and stretching, not to
  37. mention the unbelievable wear and stress on your machine.  Plus, if you have
  38. a Toaster-less machine, you'll have to invest in a good frame buffer card and
  39. single frame controller.  Even if you have a Toaster, I find the Y/C output
  40. from the Amiga PAR to be sharper than the Toaster.  Don't torture yourself!
  41. Get a PAR or PVR!  And go with Betacam SP as well; S-VHS just doesn't
  42. compare. Plus, the clients that will actually pay you what your work is worth
  43. will most likely have Betacam at their facility. Get a cheaper S-VHS consumer
  44. type deck for your customers that require S-VHS, which you can obviously also
  45. use for VHS "approval" versions of your work in progress.
